The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator II to perform clinical research and patient treatment at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, WA, with support for the John P. Murtha Cancer Center in Bethesda, MD.

This role requires a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder due to site security. Responsibilities include screening for eligibility, consenting patients, collecting data, processing samples, and assisting with regulatory

Qualifications

• Knowledge of federal and local regulations and policies pertaining to research involving human subjects.
• Experience consenting research subjects.
• Experience processing and shipping samples preferred.
• Experience with IRB submissions preferred.
• Experience in oncology preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and to work with individuals of all levels.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder due to site security requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Screens patients for eligibility in participation of research protocol. Consents patients, and interviews patients to collect data on health history and lifestyle practices.
• Performs sample collection, processing and tracking. Prepares samples for shipment, enters the required data and prepares reports as needed.
• Participates in routine (weekly/monthly) update calls with MCC.
• Responsible for implementing SOPs, research protocols and policies for all assigned research projects. Assists with regulatory submissions and actions.
• Adheres to legal, professional and ethical codes with respect to confidentiality and privacy. Assures that protocol requirements are achieved within good clinical practices. Assists with monitoring audits/visits for protocols.
• Collects, organizes, and maintains appropriate files of data. Maintains status reports on all patients.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
