Job summary

MemorialCare in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to support several moderately complex clinical trials across therapeutic areas. You will work with PI, sponsor teams, and research staff to coordinate study activities, ensure protocol compliance, and manage data collection.

The role requires at least four years of clinical research experience, knowledge of GCP and regulatory requirements, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four (4) years of clinical research experience.
• Experience coordinating more than one type of clinical research study (e.g., investigator-initiated, industry sponsored, and multi-site trials).
• Experience in more than one therapeutic area.
• Knowledge of clinical trial federal, state and local regulation requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand clinical trial protocols.
• Strong data management and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Independently manages all aspects of conducting clinical trials from startup to closeout for multiple concurrent trials.
• Plans and coordinates subjects’ schedules for procedures and visits; educates subjects on procedures, risks and benefits.
• Oversees trial expenses and differentiates standard of care vs research costs.
• Collects, processes, ships and stores specimens per established aseptic techniques.
• Creates comprehensive source documents when not provided by sponsor.
• Monitors adverse events and protocol deviations; reports findings to PI, sponsor and IRB.
