Job summary

Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to support clinical trials within the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy and Critical Care Medicine. The role involves coordinating participant involvement, data collection, and adherence to study protocols under supervision.

The CRC I will help manage schedules, communicate with investigators and sponsors, and ensure compliant documentation and safety practices in a fast-paced research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day study protocol execution including recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up activities under supervision.
• Establish and maintain relationships with study participants, clinicians, sponsors, and staff.
• Coordinate research team meetings, sponsor visits, and external audits.
• Assist with data entry and data management, handling PHI and other records.
• Maintain complete research files, CRFs, regulatory documents, and adverse event reporting.
