Rutgers University in Newark seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator I to support pediatric dentistry and public health research. Under the PI, you will manage studies from start-up through close-out, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain data integrity across REDCap and SPSS systems.

This on-site role requires hands-on IRB experience, excellent organization, and strong communication to coordinate participant activities and reporting across multiple studies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IRB procedures, human subjects protection, and regulatory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with REDCap (database creation, management, reporting).
• Proficiency in SPSS or similar statistical software.
• Strong data management and data entry accuracy skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage day-to-day operations of clinical research protocols.
• Screen and recruit study participants; obtain informed consent per IRB-approved protocols.
• Conduct participant interviews, surveys, and follow-up visits.
• Ensure adherence to IRB regulations, FDA, OHRP, and institutional policies.
• Prepare and submit IRB applications, amendments, continuing reviews, and reportable events.
• Maintain accurate and secure study documentation and source documents.
• Perform data entry, validation and quality control across study databases.
• Utilize REDCap for database development, data capture, and reporting.
• Conduct basic statistical analyses using SPSS to support outcomes and reporting.
• Generate case report forms and assist with data extraction and cleaning.
