Job summary

UC Irvine seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator to manage maternal-stress related studies in pregnancy, coordinating participant screening, consent, visits and data handling. The role involves wet-lab tasks with human stem cell culture and requires strong regulatory compliance and team coordination.

Based at UCI Medical Center in Orange, CA, the position may travel to affiliated clinics and main campus. Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred, with training provided for study protocols.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited college/university.
• Knowledge of the clinical research process, including recruitment, biospecimen collection and data management.
• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is strongly preferred.
• Experience with primary tissue culture or molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Screen, recruit, and retain study participants; obtain informed consent and coordinate visit schedules.
• Abstract data from medical records and manage research databases with attention to regulatory compliance.
• Isolate and culture stem cells; manage biospecimens and laboratory supplies.
• Coordinate IRB regulatory documentation and act as liaison between institutions and departments.
• Supervise junior staff and students; assist in protocol development and quality control.
