Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator C. diff Clinical Trial (Ontario, CA)

Job Description

The Clinical Research Coordinator supports an ongoing C. diff clinical trial by leading patient recruitment, pre-screening, and enrollment activities at a dedicated research site. This role focuses on reviewing electronic medical records against study criteria, coordinating patient visits, and ensuring that all participant interactions align with clinical research standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Review patient charts in the electronic medical record (EMR) system to evaluate eligibility against study inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Pre-screen potential participants based on medical history, diagnosis, and other protocol-defined requirements.
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments for study-related visits and procedures.
  • Provide appointment reminders to participants to support visit adherence and study retention.
  • Support patient recruitment efforts by identifying and engaging appropriate candidates for the C. diff clinical trial.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to pre-screening, scheduling, and patient interactions in accordance with clinical research guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the research site team to ensure smooth workflow and timely enrollment of eligible participants.
  • Adhere to HIPAA and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards in all aspects of patient contact and data handling.
Essential Skills
  • Proven experience working as a Clinical Research Coordinator.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with EMR systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed chart reviews in an EMR environment.
  • Hands-on experience with patient pre-screening and recruitment for clinical trials.
  • Training in HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements.
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail in reviewing medical information and documenting study-related activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple patient appointments and follow-up tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience supporting clinical trials focused on infectious diseases or similar therapeutic areas.
  • Familiarity with workflows at research sites and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle competing priorities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills when interacting with patients and staff.
  • Comfort working with EMR and other clinical research systems on a daily basis.
Work Environment

This position is based at a clinical research site in Ontario, CA, operating during normal business hours. The environment is fast paced and requires consistent attention to detail, particularly when reviewing EMR data and coordinating multiple patient appointments. Team members collaborate closely to meet enrollment goals and uphold clinical research standards, working in a professional setting that emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and patient-centered care.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Ontario, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
