Job summary

Yale University seeks a Research Associate to coordinate translational research projects within the Stress Center of the Department of Psychiatry in New Haven. The role interfaces between clinical studies and laboratories, coordinating participants, data handling, specimen management and protocol development in an in-person setting.

Responsibilities include recruitment, assessments, data analysis and preparing manuscripts.

Qualifications

Excellent oral, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Excel and web-based data collection (REDCAP) and statistical packages.
Strong clinical patient assessment skills and ability to conduct structured psychiatric interviews.
Ability to interact with patients, staff and faculty in a clinical research environment.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Strong attention to detail, organization and multitasking.

Responsibilities

Design and implement procedures and protocols under direction.
Investigate, analyze and reach preliminary scientific conclusions for research planning.
Ensure data results are compiled, analyzed and reported.
Interpret scientific results and maintain clear documentation.
Perform independent research and laboratory techniques and assist in planning.
Interact with PI, research staff and safety officers to ensure safe lab operation.
Consult with external researchers and labs to stay updated on methods and products.
May perform other duties as assigned. Education: Master’s Degree +1 year experience.
