Job summary

Yale Cancer Center is seeking a Research Associate 2-3, HSS to support planning, data collection, and analysis for NIH-funded translational research in the Clinical and Translational Core. You will coordinate a patient registry, oversee regulatory activities, and facilitate investigator access to core resources.

Reporting to the PI, the role blends project management, participant-facing coordination, data management, and regulatory oversight to ensure protocol compliance and successful study

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related discipline with four years of experience.
• Experience coordinating patient-oriented research and regulatory submissions.
• Experience with IRB submissions and human subjects research compliance.
• Experience handling human specimens.
• Strong knowledge of research methodologies and data management.

Responsibilities

• Supervises research within the scope of established study protocol and adheres to human subjects regulations.
• Reviews, plans, and implements study protocols; identifies potential funding sources.
• Oversees planning of large multi-site or global studies and develops forms and questionnaires.
• Collaborates with faculty to identify quality and operational improvements.
• Maintains cooperative relationships with investigators, sponsors, and partners to ensure safety and compliance.
• Develops HIC/IRB submissions for multi-site research and coordinates revisions at sites.
• Applies advanced statistical knowledge to support data management and analysis.
• Develops procedures for data collection, editing, and verification and creates relevant statistical programs.
• Designs data gathering instruments and tests procedures for research.
• Presents methodology and analyses in talks, seminars, and publications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
