Job summary

Buck Institute for Research on Aging’s Stubbs Lab is seeking a Clinical Research Associate/Coordinator I to support day-to-day logistics of clinical studies, perform elements of visits at Buck and community locations, and assist with biospecimens and data processing.

We train and integrate you under senior staff, with increasing independence as you gain experience, in a small, collaborative clinical team that emphasizes accuracy, timeliness, and participant safety across the full study lifecycle.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent in biological, health, behavioral or related field.
• Clinical setting experience (research, elder care, health care, or similar). This role targets early-career candidates.
• Experience with or strong interest in clinical trial conduct and operations.
• Interest in healthy aging and translating basic science to clinical interventions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain participant tracking and scheduling records; conduct telephone prescreening; coordinate study visits and communications.
• Prepare and maintain source documents, study logs, questionnaires, and supplies per protocols.
• Conduct protocol-specified procedures under supervision and explain activities to participants.
• Build rapport to support engagement, retention, and positive experience.
• Support protocol compliance through review and documentation at visits.
