Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Research Assistant to support the SCI Research Team in coordinating clinical studies involving individuals with spinal cord injury. The role involves close collaboration with investigators, staff, students, and participants to ensure accurate completion of study activities under approved protocols.

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biological or Health Sciences and have 0–4 years of related experience; more is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Health Sciences or medical field.
• 1–4 years of relevant research experience preferred.
• Experience with study logistics and IRB requirements is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day research study activities and logistics.
• Assist with recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-up.
• Interact professionally with research participants.
• Assist with research visits, data collection, and procedures.
• Ensure studies follow approved protocols and SOPs.
• Maintain study documentation and participant tracking records.
• Coordinate materials, supplies, and specimen collection.
• Support data entry and quality control in REDCap or similar databases.
• Collaborate with research staff, clinical teams, and laboratories.
• Attend research team meetings and assist with related tasks.
