Job summary

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene in New York, NY seeks a Research Support Assistant Level II to coordinate etiological and interventional studies in schizophrenia and related psychotic disorders. This full-time role involves data collection, subject interactions, and on-site testing.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree, be willing to obtain phlebotomy certification, and commit to a two-year term.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
• Willing to be certified for phlebotomy.
• Two-year commitment.

Responsibilities

• Create data collection instruments and perform data entry.
• Interact with research subjects: scheduling calls, taking vital signs, phlebotomy, sample processing, on-site urine tests, MRI support.
• Perform general clerical work: file research documents, organize patient charts, obtain medical records.
• Assist with grant, protocol, and manuscript writing.
• Provide direct assistance to the Associate Director and Director.
• Support implementation and maintenance of clinical research studies.
• Occasional brief remote weekend calls with participants (<10 minutes).
