Job summary

ARIZONA ARTHRITIS & RHEUMATOLOGY ASSOCIATES PC (Rockville, MD) seeks a Research Assistant to support the clinical research team. You will assist the clinical research coordinator with data entry, scheduling, and study file maintenance, ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.

The role involves recruitment support, coordinating visits, and performing vitals and phlebotomy as needed. Travel to Investigator Meetings and other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree, or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of medical procedures and clinical terminology.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with all providers and research subjects.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and study information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift 20 pounds.
• Willing and able to travel for Investigator Meetings and other AARACR sites.

Responsibilities

• Know protocols and provide information about these protocols to staff and patients.
• Aid in recruitment of potential participants including chart review and referrals.
• Recruitment activities include chart reviews, recruitment breakfasts, health fairs, and community outreach.
• Update the clinical trial management system with recruited subjects and track visits.
• Perform administrative tasks: labs, data entry, inventory, scheduling visits.
• Manage and file documents related to subjects' participation, regulatory, and lab results.
• Perform vitals, PRO administrations, and phlebotomy.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory standards; maintain professional service.
• Maintain office supply inventory and organized workspace.
• Travel for Investigator Meetings and site visits.
