Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine seeks a Clinical Relations Veterinarian to provide strategic leadership of clinical rotations for fourth-year veterinary students and to liaise with Clinical Affiliates. The role includes training Clinical Site Preceptors, expanding affiliate partnerships, and representing LMU - CVM at professional meetings.

Qualifications

  • DVM / VMD degree is required.
  • Working knowledge of information systems and databases is required.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large.
  • Promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the academic team and the university.
  • Collaborate and foster working relationships with peers, other colleges on campus, and external partners and stakeholders to attain the college's and university's goals and objectives.
  • Participate on University committees.
  • Undertake the Standard Instructional/Research/Service Workload as outlined in the LMU Faculty Staff Policy Manual.
  • Supervise the planning, delivery, and evaluation of designated courses.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Associate Dean of Clinical Relations and Outreach.
  • Provide oversight for implementation of initiatives and the strengthening of the fulfillment of the college mission.
  • Assures student learning outcomes are achieved and measurable in both qualitative and quantitative metrics in the hybrid distributed clinical education model.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled meetings of personnel assigned to the Clinical Relations and Outreach team.
  • Prepare required reports; assures that the college is represented at appropriate professional programs and events as designated.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to students, clinical affiliates and other parties.
  • Recruit new clinical affiliate partners into the LMU - CVM clinical affiliate network in designated geographic areas.

  • Ability to travel regularly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
