Job summary

Chesapeake Regional Healthcare is seeking a Clinical Registry Specialist to manage data abstraction, validation, and reporting for assigned registries and quality programs. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing leaders, and quality teams to drive performance improvement, ensure regulatory compliance, and support accreditation readiness through accurate data management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health science, public health, health informatics, or related life science.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical, registry, quality, or performance improvement experience.
• Experience with cardiovascular, stroke, surgical, or vascular registries preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with electronic health records and database systems.

Responsibilities

• Abstracts and enters clinical data from the EHR into registries with accuracy.
• Maintains registry data integrity and performs data audits and quality checks.
• Analyses data trends and develops reports for physicians and leadership.
• Supports accreditation, compliance activities, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Educates stakeholders on registry definitions, documentation requirements, and performance metrics.
