Job summary

HHS is seeking a knowledgeable Registered Dietitian to join Starr Regional Medical Center’s culinary team in Etowah, TN. You will guide patients and staff on medical nutrition therapy to support healing and quality care.

Starting salary is $70,000, negotiable with experience; long-term care experience is preferred but not required. Benefits include paid CEUs, licensure support, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration and eligible for state licensure
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food and Nutrition
• Knowledge of regulatory standards
• Computer experience with word processing, spreadsheets, and various software

Responsibilities

• Complete nutritional assessments and provide interventions using evidence-based practices for inpatient and outpatient care
• Provide education to patients, families, nursing, food service, and facility staff on nutritional needs
• Document assessments and nutritional goals in the medical record
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff on patients’ nutritional status
• Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements
• Attend patient rounds and support regulatory compliance with nutrition policies
