Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc. seeks a dedicated Medical Records Specialist to join the QA team in Concord, NH. You will ensure accurate, secure, and accessible clinical records to support regulatory compliance and quality improvement.

The role emphasizes HIPAA-compliant records management, collaboration with the QA team, and contributing to continuous improvement within a CC BCHC framework. This is an on-site, full-time position with no remote work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of diversified office work preferred; medical records experience is highly desirable.
• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Excellent customer service and professional communication skills (in-person and phone).

Responsibilities

• Maintain Clinical Record Integrity by organizing, retrieving, and managing paper and electronic records.
• Support CCBHC compliance to ensure records management aligns with regulations and internal policies.
• Contribute to QA initiatives promoting documentation accuracy and process improvement.
• Support coordinated care by ensuring authorized personnel can access relevant clinical information promptly.
• Protect client confidentiality in line with HIPAA and Riverbend policies.
• Manage information requests for clinical records and disclosures per procedures.
• Maintain records retention and archives through digital archiving and disposition.
• Promote audit and survey readiness with organized, retrievable records for reviews.
• Collaborate with QA to identify opportunities to improve records workflows and efficiency.
