Job summary

UTHealth Houston is looking for a Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Katy, Texas. You will produce radiographs based on physician requests and ensure patient care through accurate imaging techniques.

The role requires ARRT certification and a graduate degree in radiologic technology. This position is security sensitive, and employees must permanently reside in Texas. Comprehensive benefits are provided to full-time employees.

Qualifications

• ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.

Position Key Accountabilities

Essential Functions

• Develops radiographs using an automatic processor and checks for desired results.
• Prepares patient films for interpretation by radiologist.
• Maintains quality assurance on all radiological equipment.
• Prepares patient for radiographic procedures.
• Assists in accurate timing and positioning techniques.
• Maintains and files radiology procedure paperwork.
• Maintains inventory supplies and coordinates student/patient room assignments in clinic.
• Responds to emergency situations. Other duties as assigned.

Certification / Skills

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (MRT) by the Texas Medical Board required.
• ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.

Minimum Education

Graduate from an approved two‑year program in radiologic technology.
