Job summary

Emory University in Atlanta seeks a Medical Physicist to join the clinical radiation physics team. Under the Director’s guidance and the Radiation Oncologists, you will assist in QA, safety, treatment planning verification and the adoption of new modalities.

A master’s or PhD in medical physics with ABR certification is required; this in-person role supports patient care, education of staff and residents, and participates in trials and quality management across all ages.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in medical physics with clinical training.
• ABR certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform therapy QA and quality management processes.
• Assist in 3D/IMRT/VMAT treatment planning verification.
• Support loading and transportation of radioactive material.
• Maintain dose calculations, chart checks, and equipment calibrations.
• Contribute to patient care across all ages and disease sites.
• Participate in clinical trials and supervise residents.
