Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Quality Outcomes Specialist to assess and enhance clinical systems and processes ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered care. The role identifies outcome variances and leads improvements across performance and safety programs, partnering with leadership to promote a culture of high reliability.

Responsibilities include facilitating performance improvement initiatives, data abstraction and reporting, and serving as a resource for process improvement expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing, allied health, healthcare administration, business administration or a clinical discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Four years of experience in clinical care activities in a hospital setting (RN preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Leads facility partners to bring expert assessment and problem-solving skills to ensure reliable, safe systems of care for all patients.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with leadership, physicians, colleagues and peers and works collaboratively to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborates and effectively communicates and drives culture of safety and high-reliability initiatives; partners with leadership and clinicians to implement improvements.
