Job summary

MACT Health Board, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant for a Full Time position in California.

The PTA will provide therapy under a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence in a clinical setting. Requirements include an associate’s degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program, a California PTA license (or eligibility), and a current BLS/ALS certificate.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program is required.
• California PTA license or active eligibility is required.
• Current BLS/ALS certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Administer modalities and interventions per plan of care.
• Prepare patients and treatment areas; assist with transfers as needed.
• Observe, measure, and document patient responses, progress, vital signs, ROM, and adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safety.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the medical record.
• Adhere to safety and control standards at all times.
• Maintain professional communication with staff.
