UC San Diego's Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research (CHEAR) in the Department of Pediatrics seeks a licensed psychologist to oversee behavioral therapy trials for obesity and binge eating, with clinical services across ages.

Based at the La Jolla Village Professional Center, the role includes supervising trainees, formulating treatment plans, and ensuring fidelity of assessments and interventions.

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology required.
• California psychologist license required.
• Minimum 3 years clinical work with children/adolescents or adults.
• Experience with obesity and/or eating disorders preferred.
• Proficiency in psychological testing and report writing.
• Ability to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Experience supervising staff and trainees is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Oversee behavioral therapy trials for obesity and binge eating across age groups.
• Formulate treatment plans and use a range of therapies for complex cases.
• Train, supervise, and consult with staff and trainees in clinical psychology.
• Lead group and individual therapy sessions and ensure assessment fidelity.
• Collaborate with the treatment team and prepare clinical reports.
• Travel to community sites and participate in weekend/evening duties as needed.
