Job summary

UC San Diego Health's Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research seeks a licensed clinical psychologist to lead behavioral-therapy trials for obesity and eating disorders across children, adolescents, and adults. The role combines direct clinical work with supervision of trainees in a dynamic research setting.

The incumbent will oversee treatment delivery, develop plans, assess fidelity, train staff, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams at CHEAR and partner sites in the community,

Qualifications

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology and CA license.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical work with children, adolescents and/or adults.
• Experience treating obesity and/or eating disorders.
• Experience in evaluations, psychological testing, and clinical reporting.
• Experience supervising staff, trainees, and coordinating clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead behavioral-therapy trials for overweight/obese individuals and those with binge eating.
• Oversee all treatments, review intervention and assessment fidelity.
• Provide individual and group therapy to children, adolescents, and adults.
• Train and supervise students and paraprofessionals in clinical psychology.
• Prepare clinical reports and contribute to treatment planning and team discussions.
