Job description

We are looking for a compassionate, collaborative Clinical Psychologist II's to join our behavioral health team and provide high-quality psychological assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services.

As a Clinical Psychologist II in the Department of Mental Health, you will provide a broad range of psychological services, including:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized testing and clinical interviews to diagnose psychiatric and co-occurring disorders, including fitness-for-duty evaluations.
  • Interpret assessment findings and prepare diagnostic reports with evidence-based treatment recommendations.
  • Provide diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based individual, group, and family psychotherapy, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and behavior modification.
  • Develop, implement, and refine individualized treatment plans that promote recovery, resilience, and active client engagement, modifying interventions based on treatment progress.
  • Obtain and integrate medical, psychological, social, and family histories to inform diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, establish treatment goals, evaluate outcomes, and provide consultation on psychological assessment and behavioral health.
  • Consult with medical providers on the psychological and behavioral aspects of medical conditions.
  • Supervise and mentor psychology interns and license-waivered psychologists, and participate in the recruitment and evaluation of psychology personnel.
  • Present assessment findings in clinical case conferences and provide expert testimony in legal proceedings.
  • Lead or contribute to psychological research, program development, and multidisciplinary quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

A Doctorate from an accredited college or university in psychology, educational psychology, education with the field of specialization in counseling psychology, or in a discipline deemed equivalent by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.

LICENSE:

A license to practice as a psychologist issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs, Board of Psychology.
