Job summary

Matrix Providers seeks a licensed Clinical Psychologist to perform a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Collierville, TN. The role is full-time with a bi-weekly pay structure and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualified candidates will have a PhD/PsyD, active BLS, and VA or CP experience preferred. Responsibilities include reviewing mental health history, conducting assessments, and submitting results to VA through electronic forms.

Qualifications

• Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
• Psychologists must have a PhD or PsyD with a major in Psychology; adult-focused specialties preferred.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Capture responses via web-based examination forms; submit electronically to VA.
• Assist with PTSD, depression, anxiety, or eating disorder assessments.

We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Collierville, TN

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is a hourly position, paid bi-weekly. $55.00-$60.00
• Schedule: Full Time Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 or 10 hours days- FT or PT

Requirements: The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

• Requirement Qualifications:
  • Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
  • Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must have completed a 2-year residency with either specialty.
  • Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or a combination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
  • Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.
• Certification: Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Demonstrates compassion and professionalism and a commitment to providing excellent service and care.
  • Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
  • Skilled in professional communication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
  • Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Prior experience in clinical settings
    • Prior VA or C&P experience

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral health compensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
• The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
