Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks an organized Outpatient Service Coordinator to support the Comprehensive Psychiatric Care Specialists (CPCS) clinic. You will manage daily operations, greet patients, and ensure accurate demographic and insurance information in Epic.

You will also handle charge tickets, post charges, and collect payments while collaborating with Revenue Cycle. Training duties and cross-clinic coverage are essential to keep services running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 3 years of related experience is expected.
• Proficiency with Epic scheduling and billing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily CPCS clinic operations and greet patients and families.
• Schedule and update patient appointments in Epic and maintain demographic/insurance data.
• Create charge tickets and post charges in Epic; collect and allocate payments.
• Train new outpatient staff and update training materials; provide guidance and mentorship.
• Cover multiple department clinics when staff are out; verify insurance and co-pays.
