Responsibilities

• Triages requests for patient appointments with appropriate staff.
• Oversees personnel actions including hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, termination, and related activities.
• Performs assessment of needs and develops clinical programs to meet them.
• Maintains required records and reports statistics for administrative, QA, and safety and control purposes.
• Coordinates development, implementation, and evaluation of department policies and procedures.
• Establishes and assesses internal controls and compliance with university policies and procedures.
• Ensures employees are trained on controls and university policy.

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Clinical Program Manager to work at the UHealth medical campus in Miami, Florida.

CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Program Manager provides administrative assistance in the support of various clinical programs. An employee in this position supports their supervisor with researching and resolving patients', physicians', and staff's concerns, preparing reports, processing information requests, and preparing clinical documentations. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment and discretion in managing and carrying out daily activities while adhering to policies and procedures.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Supervises, directs, and coordinates, through subordinate supervisors, assignments for program operations.
• Evaluates office production, revises procedures, and devises new forms to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Supervises clinical operation and quality assurance procedures.
• Implements projects and procedures to ensure program performance is exceeding expectations.
• Triages requests for patient appointments with appropriate staff.

• Performs assessment of needs within the organization and develops clinical programs to meet those needs.

• Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures.
• Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on university policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes: Knowledge of business and management principles

• Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.

Department Specific Functions

• Contribute to development of Center curricula.
• Lead and assist with trainings, consultations, and learning collaboratives with community-based, national, and international organizations, schools, and clinicians.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to participants enrolled in research studies.
• Provide clinical supervision to interventionists.
• Provide clinical consultation for clinicians who are working towards completing certification program.
• Provide mentorship support for clinicians who have completed certification program.
• Assist with creation and dissemination of podcasts, publications, blogs, and other relevant Center materials.
• Contribute to development of goals and initiatives to direct the Center's course and support its development in line with its mission.
