The University of Miami seeks a Clinical Program Manager to provide administrative support for clinical programs and exercise independent judgment in enforcing university policies.

Qualifications

CORE JOB SUMMARY

The Clinical Program Manager provides administrative assistance in the support of various clinical programs. An employee in this position supports their supervisor with researching and resolving patients’, physicians’, and staff’s concerns, preparing reports, processing information requests, and preparing clinical documentations. The incumbent exercises considerable independent judgment and discretion in managing and carrying out daily activities while adhering to policies and procedures.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

• Supervises, directs, and coordinates, through subordinate supervisors, assignments for program operations.
• Evaluates office production, revises procedures, and devises new forms to improve efficiency and workflow.
• Supervises clinical operation and quality assurance procedures.
• Implements projects and procedures to ensure program performance is exceeding expectations.
• Triages requests for patient appointments with appropriate staff.
• Oversees various personnel actions, including but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, termination, and other related activities.
• Performs assessment of needs within the organization and develops clinical programs to meet those needs.
• Maintains required records and reports statistics for administrative, quality assurance, and safety and control purposes.
• Coordinates the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental or program area policies and procedures designed to improve operational efficiency.
• Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures.
• Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on university policy and procedures.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Department Specific Functions

• Clinical Implementation Specialist
• Contribute to development of Center curricula.
• Lead and assist with trainings, consultations, and learning collaboratives with community-based, national, and international organizations, schools, and clinicians.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to participants enrolled in research studies.
• Provide clinical supervision to interventionists.
• Provide clinical consultation for clinicians who are working towards completing certification program.
• Provide mentorship support for clinicians who have completed certification program.
• Assist with creation and dissemination of podcasts, publications, blogs, and other relevant Center materials.
• Contribute to development of goals and initiatives to direct the Center’s course and support its development in line with its mission.
