Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Clinical Training Coordinator to oversee education programs across Minnesota and western Wisconsin. You will coordinate orientation, preceptor development, staff competency assessments, and regulatory education to support primary care and multiple specialties.

The role requires 2–5 years of clinical experience and RN licensure in MN (and WI as needed), with BLS certification. This is a full-time, dayshift position with travel and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years in clinical experience.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Minnesota practice settings upon hire
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required as needed for primary assigned Wisconsin practice settings upon hire
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (or Allina in-house BLS training within 30 days of hire)

Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops educational curriculum, tools, and materials.

Job Description

Coordinates and supervises clinical training. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates staff education and training. This includes orientation, preceptor development, staff development, and competency assessment.

Principle Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and supervises clinical training, education, orientation and development for a variety of staff roles.
  • Identifies staff learning needs.

  • Coaches, mentors and teaches in the clinical area.

  • Maintains records of staff education.
  • Ensures that staff have education which meets regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinates student clinical experiences.
  • May coordinate "skills day" or other education events.
  • May assist in planning, implementing, coordinating and evaluating patient care activities and management activities.
  • May contribute to coaching and performance management.
  • May develop training tools for process improvement initiatives.
  • May participate in candidate interviews.
  • May evaluate performance related to clinical quality goals.
  • May conduct or observe safety drills to evaluate staff preparedness and address gaps.
  • Participates with leaders in continuous improvement activities.
  • Develops tools.
  • Facilitates huddles and other communication venues.
  • Facilitates data collection.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • 2 to 5 years in clinical experience
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Minnesota practice settings upon hire
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required as needed for primary assigned Wisconsin practice settings upon hire
  • Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross
  • Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 0 to 2 years in teaching/facilitation experience
Licenses/Certifications
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required for Minnesota practice settings upon hire
  • Licensed Registered Nurse - WI Dept of Safety & Professional Services required as needed for primary assigned Wisconsin practice settings upon hire
Physical Demands

Pay Range

Pay Range Pay Range: $44.64 to $61.76 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work. Allina Health is committed to adhering with all applicable local, state and federal minimum wage requirements.
