Qualifications

• Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Council on Medical Education of the AMA and the APTA, and certified by the APTA.
• Must be able and willing to practice physical therapy per state guidelines.
• Must possess good organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clients, develops treatment goals, implements therapy plans and documents related services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains clients in their use.
• Selects physical agent modalities suited to the individual's needs and diagnosis.
• Consults with the rehabilitation team to select appropriate regimens.
• Instructs clients in mobility skills and evaluates progress and attitudes.
• Adapts program according to client needs and promotes safety.
• Attends care conferences and trains staff in physical therapy techniques.
• Puts residents and families first with high-quality, compassionate care.
