Qualifications

• Graduate of a physical therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the AMA Council on Medical Education and the APTA and certified by the APTA.
• Able and willing to practice physical therapy per state guidelines.
• Must possess good organizational and time management skills.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates clients, develops treatment goals and methods, and documents services.
• Designs and fits adaptive devices and trains clients in using splints and orthotics.
• Selects physical agent modalities suited to the individual.
• Consults with rehab team to select appropriate therapy regimen.
• Instructs clients in mobility skills and evaluates progress.
• Adapts program to individual client needs.
• Promotes safety and participates in meetings.
• Supervises supportive personnel per state standards.
• Orders supplies and maintains equipment.
• Provides customer service and compassionate care to residents and families.
