Job summary

The ideal candidate holds a PT degree (Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate), a current Maryland license, at least two years of clinical experience in rehab settings, and strong communication and teamwork skills; EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in a rehabilitation facility
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to patient care
• Basic computer skills and experience with electronic medical records systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities and limitations
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient goals
• Implement treatment plans using various techniques and modalities, such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and assistive devices
• Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients
• Educate patients and their families on proper techniques and exercises to improve their mobility and function
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
• Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in regards to patient care and confidentiality
• Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in physical therapy
