  • ASCP PBT certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs venipuncture following standard protocols to ensure patient safety and specimen integrity.
  • Labels and processes specimens, ensuring correct tube types and test order accuracy.
  • Interprets orders from providers and enters data into HIS/LIS systems.
  • Ensures proper patient identification and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Provides timely communication with nursing and Lab leadership as needed.
  • Assists with specimen transport and troubleshooting as required.
  • Maintains inventory and adheres to quality assurance practices.
