Job summary

Option Care Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in accordance with policies and state regulations.

You will review refills, prepare medications, maintain equipment, support patients, manage inventory, and help with site upkeep. Minimum education is a high school diploma; 0–6 months experience; training completed within 6 months. Pay range is $16.61–$26.96 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process according to OCH policies and procedures.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of any defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information to ensure accurate planning of materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and materials; stock and store new supplies; review expiration dates; identify shortages; pick and pack materials; create tickets; track inventory in systems; schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; clean and organize supplies.
