Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Nebraska Pharmacy Technician registration required.
  • Nebraska-approved certification (PTCB/ExCPT/UNMC-NE-CPhT) required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in institutional or hospital pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparation, distribution and record keeping of pharmaceutical supplies.
  • Support billing, data analysis, prior authorization, inventory purchasing and medication reconciliation.
  • Operate pharmacy computer system to fill replacement orders and manage credits.
  • Train new staff in departmental processes and procedures.
  • Communicate with providers and management to facilitate operations.
