Bryan Health in Nebraska seeks an experienced Pharmacy Technician II to support pharmacists in unit dose dispensing, packaging, and distribution of medications. You will handle automated packaging devices, barcode labeling, and dispensing systems to ensure patient safety and accurate medication delivery.
The position requires at least one year of hospital or institutional pharmacy experience, Nebraska technician registration, and Nebraska-certified technician credentials (PTCB/ExCPT/NE-CPhT).
The Department of Pharmacy provides services including drug and disease state information, drug procuring, preparation, distribution, and therapeutic monitoring. Pharmaceutical care includes, but is not limited to, appropriate, accurate, and timely dispensing of medications to patients. Under the clinical supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II assists pharmacists in pharmaceutical preparation, distribution, and record keeping functions in the delivery of pharmaceutical supplies to patients in accordance department policies and guidelines.
Is proficient in all pharmacy technician staffing areas, such as unit dose/decentral/delivery staffing, medication tray stocking and maintenance, controlled substances, inventory maintenance, and sterile products preparation.
High school diploma or equivalency required. Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of one (1) year experience in an institutional pharmacy environment (hospital or health care facility with admitted patients) OR a retail pharmacy environment required. Registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nebraska required. Pharmacy Technician Certification from a State of Nebraska approved certification agency required. Examples include: ptcb, ExCPT, UNMC (NE-CPhT).
