Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, ensuring smooth and accurate pharmacy operations in accordance with company policies and state regulations.

You will process prescription refills and new drug orders, count, pour, and mix medications, maintain inventory, support patient data collection, and help with site sanitation and supplies. Strong organizational and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience.
• Must be licensed or registered (if required by state).
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Able to perform basic and intermediate level mathematical calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Process prescription refills for drugs, PN/high risk, heparin/saline.
• Process new drug prescriptions.
• Counts, pours, and mixes pharmaceuticals.
• Packages products into appropriate containers and labels.
• Provides training to Clinical Pharmacy Technician I's.
• Ensures accurate inventory levels through validation and reporting.
• Develops purchase orders to address shortages.
• Validates removal of expired supplies/materials.
• Schedules deliveries.
• Collects and maintains patient data for assessments.
• Responds to non-routine patient questions and requests.
• Cleans and sanitizes surfaces and laminar hood flows.
• Cleans and organizes supplies.
