Job summary

Option Care Health in Irving, TX is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Technician I to support pharmacy operations under a licensed pharmacist. You will assist with dispensing medications, managing supplies, and maintaining equipment while delivering quality patient service.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 0–6 months of relevant experience, and completion of the company’s training within 6 months. Prior pharmacy exposure is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and organization.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if state requires).
• Successful enrollment/completion of OCH designated training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process per policies.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and reporting defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information for planning materials, equipment, and prescriptions.
• Answer basic patient questions to support a positive patient experience.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies and stock accordingly.
• Review expiration dates, identify shortages, and pack materials.
• Create tickets and track inventory in systems.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries.
