Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Support/Technician role in Ohio to assist licensed Pharmacists with everyday operations. You will help review prescriptions, prepare medications and supplies, and maintain equipment and inventory in a compliant environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 0–6 months of experience, and may be licensed within 6 months of hire. Training completion within 6 months is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription drug refill requests and process per policies.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Assist with maintaining equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and informing supervisor of defects.
• Collect and maintain basic patient information for planning materials, equipment, and prescriptions.
• Help ensure a positive patient experience by answering basic questions and requests.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies; stock, review expiration dates, identify shortages; pick and pack materials; create tickets; data entry; schedule routine patient deliveries.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows; organize supplies.
