Baton Rouge General is seeking a pharmacist to join our hospital-based clinical team. A PharmD and a current Louisiana license are required, with at least two years in hospital clinical pharmacy. You will ensure safe, effective therapies and collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.

What You Will Do:Promote pharmacodynamics of patient care andassistthe clinical coordinator ineconotherapeuticsactivities. Provide safe, effective, and cost-conscious drug therapies for patients of all ages, as defined in the department’s scope of service.

Prepare and dispense drug orders perphysicianrequest according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.

Monitor drug therapy regimens for safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness; provide clinical consultation and suggest therapeutic alternatives.

Supervise pharmacy support personnel and ensuretimely,accuratepharmacy services.

Promoteoptimaldrugutilizationthrough rounding, education, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings, formulary management, and cost-saving initiatives.

Maintain competency through ongoing education, licensure, and skills assessment.

Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.
