Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Managed Care - Training, Data Analysis & Content Creation

Position Purpose Aid in the development, coordination, and maintenance of clinical resources to support the pharmacy program. Serve as the primary coordinator for clinical training and education for other Pharmacy department staff.

  • Develop and maintain clinical resources to aid in making utilization management decisions for all books of business
  • Develop and update workflows and documentation of processes and procedures
  • Review and evaluate error data to identify top trends
  • Implement educational initiatives based on business needs and top coaching trends
  • Develop intervention plans to mitigate quality gaps
  • Train various pharmacy staff, including developing and maintaining clinical training manuals
  • Track and trend determinations to ensure criteria has been met, audit for prior authorizations, analyze cost and determine utilization patterns
  • Provide recommendations for workflow and process document updates based on error findings
  • Assist with the pharmacy utilization review and reporting process
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience. Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.2+ years of pharmacy experience, preferably in a managed care environment.

License/Certification Must have and maintain current, valid and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of employment. Board certification preferred. May be required to obtain additional state licensure based on business needs.

Working shift TBD - The earliest available shift is 9am - 6pm (Eastern) Monday - Friday.

Pay Range $50.77 - $93.94 per hour

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives.
