Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate need for a Clinical Pharmacy Operations Manager in Salt Lake City, UT (onsite). This full-time leadership role oversees inpatient pharmacy operations in a prestigious hospital system with a 308+ bed footprint.

Qualifications

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Residency: Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency.
• Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility) in Utah.
• Experience: 3–5 years hospital pharmacy leadership or supervisory experience.
• Skills: Sterile compounding regulations, medication safety, communication, problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead operational excellence across inpatient pharmacy services.
• Mentor and empower the pharmacy technician team.
• Oversee day-to-day medication distribution, inventory, and workflow.
• Chair Medication Safety Committee and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure regulatory alignment for sterile and non-sterile compounding per USP guidelines.

• Medication Safety Leadership: Serve as chair of the Medication Safety Committee, identifying risk reduction strategies, analyzing error data, and leading continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Technician Supervision & Development: Lead, mentor, and empower the dedicated pharmacy technician team; foster an engaging, collaborative culture focused on professional growth, high performance, and operational agility
• Resource Management & Operational Flow: Oversee day-to-day medication distribution, inventory management, and workflow efficiencies to ensure seamless support for nursing and medical staff

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution required
• Residency: Completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration residency required
• Licensure: Current pharmacist licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in Utah required
• Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience with progressive leadership or supervisory responsibilities
• Skills: Demonstrated expertise in sterile compounding regulations and medication safety practices; exceptional communication, problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of leading teams through operational change
