Job summary

Tennessee Oncology is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead clinical pharmacy operations, ensure high-quality medication care, and drive compliance with USP, CMS, and accreditation standards. You will oversee pharmacists and technicians and integrate pharmacy services into the broader clinical practice.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, provider collaboration, data-driven performance improvement, staff development, and participation in P&T decisions.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree required.
• PGY-1 or PGY-2 residency strongly preferred.
• Current, active Tennessee pharmacy license.
• Minimum of 5 years of pharmacy experience, with at least 3 years in a clinical/health system setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical pharmacy operations including review, preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications, focusing on patient-centered outcomes.
• Provide clinical drug therapy consultation to providers and patients, including indications, interactions, and pharmacokinetics.
• Support evidence-based prescribing through collaboration with medical staff and clinical decision-making.
• Lead development and implementation of clinical protocols aligned with standards and organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements (USP, CMS).
• Monitor inventory and promote formulary adherence for safe, cost-effective use.
• Lead quality initiatives, medication-use evaluations, and performance improvement projects.
