Job summary

Walgreens Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to lead clinical services, immunizations, and day-to-day operations. You will ensure accurate dispensing, review drug therapies, supervise staff, and maintain regulatory compliance while delivering a positive patient experience.

In this role you will optimize workflow, manage inventory, collaborate with store leadership, and expand health programs in the community.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the district states.
• Certified immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience, including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, operations, software systems, and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing demonstrating strong knowledge of applicable controlled substance laws.
• Average rating of at least 3.0 on leadership behaviors in the last performance review, with no written disciplinary actions in the last 12 months (internal candidates only).

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications accurately.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient workflow; oversees staff scheduling.
• Implements Good Faith Dispensing with state and federal laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to develop new business opportunities.
• Maintains pharmacy systems knowledge and supports staff with technology.
• Processes insurance claims and resolves third‑party issues.
• Provides immunizations and other clinical services.
• Maintains records for state and federal authorities.
