Job summary

Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, CA seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Manager to lead and implement our pharmacy clinical programs in a high-volume hospital setting.

You will oversee formulary management, policy development and staff education, and assist the Pharmacy Director when needed. Requires PharmD, active California license, and 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience; BCPS or related cert preferred.

Qualifications

• Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy
• ACLS certification is preferred
• At least 5 years hospital pharmacy experience; preferably within area of focus
• BPS Specialty certification (BCPS, BCCCP, etc.)
• Other certification (FCCP, FASHP); Hospital Pharmacy Management experience preferred
• PC Skills – proficient in Microsoft Office, Meditech, and purchasing vendor applications

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing and managing the pharmacy clinical programs
• Formulary management, policy and procedure development and education across the healthcare spectrum
• Assist in managing the pharmacy when the Pharmacy Director or designee is unavailable
