Job summary
Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist - Informatics to join the Pharmacy Informatics team at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited College of Pharmacy resulting in Pharm. D. or B.S. in Pharmacy.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical informatics or pharmacy.
- Requires current licensure as a pharmacist in any Johns Hopkins approved state.
- Board Certification through BPS or equivalent within 2 years of start date.
- BLS certification within 1 year of hire.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize clinical decision support for medication ordering, verification, and administration in the EHR.
- Serve as liaison between pharmacy staff and Health IT project teams to optimize medication workflows in the EHR.
- Maintain and enhance medication infrastructure and educate staff navigating EHR workflows.
- Provide education to students, residents, pharmacists, and other health care practitioners.
- Precept pharmacy students and PGY-1/PGY-2 residents in informatics programs.
