Job summary

Bausch + Lomb is seeking a highly motivated translational scientist to lead nonclinical PK, PK/PD, and pharmacometrics across Rx ophthalmic and consumer eye health pipelines. You will design studies, analyze ocular PK data, and partner with R&D and Regulatory on filings.

The role requires a PhD with 6+ years of relevant experience and expertise in PK/PD modeling, PBPK, and regulatory expectations, using tools like NONMEM, Monolix, and Phoenix WinNonlin.

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Clinical Pharmacology, Pharmacometrics, Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacology, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline with typically 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with PK, PBPK, PK/PD, pharmacometrics or systems pharmacology, and/or drug metabolism and transporters. Ophthalmic drug development, topical/ocular PK, or ocular pharmacology experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads clinical pharmacology, PK, PD, and pharmacometrics activities across multiple programs spanning Rx ophthalmic and consumer eye health pipelines.
• Contributes to action plans for candidate selection, first-in-human strategy, dose selection and life-cycle management.
• Provides PK/PD timelines and deliverables to inform portfolio prioritization and resourcing decisions.
• Designs and oversees nonclinical PK, TK and clinical pharmacology studies including first-in-human and ocular PK.
• Interprets data and communicates implications to management, including go/no-go recommendations.
