Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Senior Scientist specializing in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics to advance its ophthalmic pipeline, including dry eye, glaucoma, and retinal disease.

The role focuses on leading PK, PD, ADME, and modeling efforts, developing strategies for candidate selection, first-in-human studies, and lifecycle management, and supporting regulatory submissions and communications. Collaboration with R&D, regulatory teams, and external vendors is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, or systems pharmacology.
• Expertise in ocular drug development and modeling software (NONMEM, Phoenix, R).

Responsibilities

• Lead PK, PD, ADME, modeling efforts for ophthalmic programs.

Responsibilities

• lead PK, PD, ADME, modeling, and nonclinical studies
• develop strategies for candidate selection, first-in-human, and lifecycle management
• contribute to regulatory submissions and communications
• oversee project timelines and cross-functional collaboration
• evaluate and interpret pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic data
• support regulatory interactions and author regulatory documents
• Collaboration with R&D, regulatory teams, and external vendors; reporting to senior management

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, or related field
• 6+ years' experience in pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, or systems pharmacology
• expertise in ocular drug development, topical/ocular PK, and modeling software (e.g., NONMEM, Phoenix, R)

Preferred

• experience with ophthalmic products, regulatory pathways (505(b)(2), ANDA), and across development phases from discovery to Phase 3
