Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking a pharmacist responsible for overseeing the preparation and dispensing of medications, verifying orders and monitoring patient therapy.
You will serve as a resource for medication information to patients and healthcare professionals within a supportive team. The role requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with an active pharmacist license and, for Missouri practice, a Medication Therapy Service Certificate within 90 days of start date.
Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.

Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy.

Preferred Certifications: Pharmacists practicing in Missouri must have a Medication Therapy Service Certificate as issued by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of start date.
