Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking a licensed pharmacist to oversee preparation and dispensing, verify orders, and monitor patient therapy. You will serve as a resource for medication information for patients and care teams while ensuring timely medication administration.

The role requires a BS or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school and a current Missouri pharmacist license. A Missouri MT Service Certificate within 90 days is preferred, with prior retail experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license from the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• BS or PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited school.
• Missouri Medication Therapy Service Certificate within 90 days of start date.
• Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.

Position Details:

Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from a School or College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).
Licensure: Requires a current pharmacist license from applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
