Mercy Hospital - St. Louis seeks a Clinical Pharmacist (Retail) to oversee dispensing and order verification, monitor patient therapy, and support safe, effective care. You will collaborate with physicians to optimize regimens and serve as a resource for patients and staff.
You will ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety standards, and local regulations while mentoring pharmacy technicians and contributing to department goals.
Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Identifies, recommends, resolves, and prevents medication-related problems through intervention with the physician. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities.
